Fair warning - this post is written in the first person by me, Alton Rose (Altie122), the creator and owner of Altie122 Studios. Although I usually refer to Altie122 Studios as “we” or “our,” in this post I’ll be writing as “I” and “my.”
This week, I set up the Unreal Engine project foundation. Last week (which I’m not documenting here) was when I came up with the core idea, see the overview above for reference.
I also created a simple main menu, shown below in its current early state:
Additionally, I’ve started designing the Cubic Colors logo, which should be finished by the next blog post.
This section is where I’ll dive into the more technical details for those who enjoy that side of development. It’ll appear in every week’s update.
For Cubic Colors, I’m using Unreal Engine 5.6.1. At the moment, the project relies on the Blueprint visual scripting system, though I plan to incorporate C++ in future stages.
For the menu UI, I’m using the Easy Parallax Menu plugin by NEZOS GAMES BLUE.
This week was a bit stand still as I had a lot of other things going on, This puts the project 1 week behind schedule.
